V-2 Rocket Engine
 

The V-2 Rocket Engine has made a home at the Stafford Air & Space Museum on Friday September 18. The Stafford Air & Space Museum is the only location in Oklahoma to have an actual V-2 Rocket engine on display.

Public showings of the Sarkeys Digital Planetarium

 

Starting Saturday September 5th, the Stafford Air & Space Museum will have public showings of the Sarkeys Digital Planetarium. For pricing, times, and the video that will be shown please check out the press release.

Stafford Visited the museum on July 23!

 

On July 23, 2009 General Stafford paid a visit to the museum. He was welcomed by the staff, volunteers, and reporters. The reporters from the local newspaper(Weatherford Daily News) and from Channel 9 came to interview Stafford on the space program and the Apollo 11 moon landing 40th anniversary.

Okie Dust Devil

 

The Okie Dust Devil is underway! Come out and see the aerobatic contest and get discounted admission to the museum! Mention it to the museum staff upon admission payment to receive your discount.

Apollo X 40th Event

 

The Apollo X 40th Anniversary Event was held on May 19th of 2009. The event began with the Grand Opening of the Rose & Tom Luczo Educational Center at the Stafford Air & Space Museum. General Stafford then led a VIP tour for fellow astronauts and other VIP guests. The 40th anniversary continued with a reception and dinner at the SWOSU Ballroom.
